Grey House Precinct is a five-storey building designed to support students from early learning through Year 6. It houses Years 5 and 6 with adaptable learning spaces, dedicated Performing Arts areas, and Focus Group Rooms for small group learning.

The building includes a Wellness floor with counselling, private beds, retreats, outdoor courtyards, and educational clinics. Early Learning caters to children aged 0 to 4 with sleeping, nursing, play, and learning spaces. A state-of-the-art Dance Academy features six studios, including one prepared for performances with retractable seating.

Before and after school care is provided through OSCH, which offers connected indoor and outdoor spaces including a Movie Room, Arts and Craft area, climbing and play zones, a Homework Centre, and outdoor playground. Grey House Precinct combines functionality and inspiration to create a welcoming and nurturing environment for all students.

The Middle Colonnade is a beautiful historic building defined by its central colonnade, a covered walkway of arches. It now houses the Principal, Deputies, and Executive Staff. Originally, the building consisted of large, simple rectangular rooms stretching from the colonnade to the opposite side. Over time, these rooms were subdivided to accommodate staff, which blocked natural light and left the spaces dark and uninviting.

When we were presented with the space, we designed a central hallway and added archways and mouldings to preserve the original character. High fixed glass panels allow light to pass from one side to the other, preventing a repeat of the previously gloomy atmosphere.

The space honours the College’s heritage and serves as the first point of arrival for new parents, as well as a place for meetings with the Principal or Deputies. It balances warmth and grace while maintaining timeless interiors, with the College uniform colours incorporated in a contemporary way to create a welcoming and enduring environment.
